salaryband.in ("salaryband", "we", "us", "our") is a compensation benchmarking tool for Indian technology professionals, operated by Mahananda Traders, a sole proprietorship registered in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India ("the Operator"). In these Terms: "Site" means salaryband.in; "Services" means the Site, the free benchmark, generated results, and the paid Action Pack; "Report" or "Action Pack" means the paid execution playbook; "you" means the user. By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872, to use the Services. By using the Services, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
The free benchmark shows your estimated compensation percentile, salary band, and a positioning summary. The paid Action Pack (₹499, one-time) provides an execution-focused playbook keyed to the benchmark you ran.
The Services provide estimated compensation benchmarks generated through statistical modelling, public compensation data, and proprietary methodology. Results are illustrative estimates only. They are not statements of fact, not guarantees of any salary, offer, or outcome, and do not create any advisory, fiduciary, or employment relationship. We do not provide financial, tax, legal, or career advisory services.
Compensation outputs may differ materially from actual market pay, your employer's compensation structure, or any future compensation outcome. You must independently verify all compensation information before making any career, financial, or other binding decision. salaryband is a reference point, not a recommendation to take or leave any job, accept or reject any offer, or take any specific action. Decisions you make based on the Services are your own responsibility.
We calibrate against public sources and aim for realistic estimates, but outputs are produced by automated algorithms applied to public data and may contain inherent anomalies or errors. Where our supporting data is thinner for a particular role, tier, and experience combination, we flag lower confidence so you can judge how much weight to give that estimate. You use all outputs at your own discretion.
The Action Pack is priced at ₹499 as a one-time payment, inclusive of all applicable taxes including GST. A tax invoice is available on request to the email address used at purchase. Payments are processed by Razorpay, a third-party payment provider; we do not see or store your full card or bank details. We are not responsible for errors, interruptions, or failures caused by the payment provider. The Action Pack is a digital product delivered instantly upon successful payment and is keyed to the benchmark you ran.
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms and is incorporated by reference.
You agree not to: use the Services for any unlawful purpose; scrape, crawl, or harvest the Site by automated means; reverse-engineer or attempt to derive our model or data; bypass rate limits or access controls; resell, sublicense, or build a competing or derivative paid service from our outputs; deep-link or frame our internal pages for commercial purposes; or upload or transmit malicious code. Breach of this section may result in immediate suspension or termination of access, and we reserve the right to pursue available legal remedies.
You are responsible for ensuring that the information you submit (such as role, experience, tier, and salary) is accurate and complete. Estimates depend on your inputs; inaccurate inputs produce inaccurate results.
The salaryband name, the underlying model, the report content, and the Site design are protected under the Copyright Act, 1957, and other applicable law, and are the intellectual property of the Operator. You may download and use your own Report for personal, non-commercial career development. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, resell, sublicense, reverse-engineer, deep-link, or create derivative works from the Services or their outputs except as expressly permitted, and unauthorised use may attract remedies under Section 55 of the Copyright Act, 1957.
If you voluntarily submit data or feedback to us, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, host, store, and process that content to provide and improve the Services, including in anonymised and aggregated form.
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the Services, you provide electronic consent to the collection and processing of your data as described there. We maintain reasonable security practices and procedures commensurate with the nature of the data we hold, consistent with Section 43A of the Information Technology Act, 2000, and applicable rules.
The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of income, employment or business opportunities, profits, or data, arising from your use of the Services. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to a purchase shall not exceed the amount you paid us for that purchase (₹499). Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Operator and its proprietor from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and reasonable expenses arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Services.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at our discretion if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated or the Services are being misused. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, liability, and governing law) will continue to apply.
We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date and, where appropriate, a notice on the Site. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable consumer-protection rights, the courts at Nagpur, Maharashtra shall have jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms operates as an absolute restraint on your right to pursue legal remedies. Before initiating formal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us so we can attempt to resolve the matter directly.

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions continue in effect (severability). These Terms, together with the Privacy and Refund Policies, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services. We may assign these Terms in connection with a transfer of the business. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. We are not liable for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure).
